Two-Cylinder Tractor Restoration

My reasons for restoring tractors

Tired Iron Restoration is a company born out of my desire to help preserve our American agricultural heritage. History has always been of particular interest to me in one form or another and restoring tractors is the way I've chosen to help preserve the machines and the legacy of the farmers who used them. America is a country rich with history, culture and traditions, we have been blessed with innovative and hard working ancestors, men and women not only willing to work to provide for their own families but at the same time build America into the bread basket of the world.  Restoration is  my  contribution to the preservation of a little bit of America,  I enjoy it and its how I make my living.

Mechanical Resume

I grew up, worked and lived on a dairy farm in western Washington, driving my first tractor "all by myself" at the age of six. As I grew older I was involved in the daily operation of the farm, operating and helping to maintain the equipment was part of everyday life. After graduation from high school I obtained my AA degree in diesel technology from Centralia College, specializing the second year in agricultural equipment. Continuing my work on the farm the next ten years I  was able to take on an expanding role in the maintenance and rebuilding of the equipment. In 1994 I was hired at our local John Deere dealership (Barnett Implement, Chehalis, WA) where I was one of four technicians. I now have my own restoration and repair business in Oakville, WA. Although I still do a lot of general repair for the local farmers and hobbyists, my interest lies in the restoration of old tractors. I'm very detail oriented and  enjoy all aspects of the restoration from the mechanical repair to the body work and paint.
